Introduction:
Amber and Jackson were planning an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends at the rustic Bakers Ranch in Parrish, Florida. We had met up with them a few months ago to capture their romantic engagement session at the beach and were looking forward to reconnecting for their special day.
Amber had envisioned an “ethereal winter” theme, with her bridesmaids in navy blue and a white rose bouquet. They were holding their wedding ceremony in the gorgeous grounds of Bakers Ranch on what was a sunny but slightly cool winter’s day.
Getting ready photos at Bakers Ranch:
We began the day capturing some getting ready photos of Jackson and his groomsmen in their “den” at Bakers Ranch, which was complete with its own pool table. We grabbed some creative shots of Jackson making his final preparations and relaxing at the open-air ceremonial site, as well as some low-lit shots at the pool table with his groomsmen as he aimed for the 8-ball.
Meanwhile, Amber was getting ready downstairs with her beautiful bridesmaids and niece and we captured some special moments as they prepared together. Once Amber was in her stunning gown, we used the time available for some portraits on the rustic wooden bridge of Bakers Ranch, both alone and with her bridal party.

Pre-ceremony portraits at Bakers Ranch:
It was then time for the first look between Amber and Jackson, which we staged on a lush garden walkway outside the main ranch building. We captured a range of portraits of the couple in this loved-up moment, again incorporating the wooden bridge and the romantic, fairy-lit trees.
We also had time for bridal party portraits, opting to use a whimsical swing that was positioned beneath atmospheric, hanging Spanish moss. The gray suits of Jackson’s groomsmen and the navy blue of the bridesmaids really created the “ethereal winter” ambiance Amber was looking for and was complemented by floral details around the swing that her mom had been busy preparing.

Amber’s dad then escorted her down the aisle to her awaiting groom and we captured a creative shot looking towards the bride through her wedding guests. Throughout the wedding ceremony, we photographed a range of shots, including up-close candids of the ring exchange and wide-angle shots looking down the aisle that had been adorned with white drapery.

Reception photos at Bakers Ranch:
Amber and Jackson’s intimate wedding reception was being held indoors at Bakers Ranch within a stunning room that was topped by an ornate chandelier and beautiful white drapery. After capturing the first dance between the newly weds from multiple angles, we grabbed some nighttime portraits of the couple standing on an elevated balcony, incorporating the glamorous decor.
We also captured some creative portraits looking through a doorway towards the couple kissing and their joyous cake cutting ceremony. Their wedding guests then assembled on the dance floor for a group photo before dancing well into the night, although we did manage to sneak outside with the couple for some romantic nighttime portraits beneath the fairy lights.
