Introduction:
Nicole and Brian’s wedding at Bay Preserve at Osprey would be our first time shooting at this stunning estate mansion. It features majestic oak trees in its waterfront setting overlooking Little Sarasota Bay, not to mention a stately red-brick, white-columned residence.
With everything happening in the one location, from the getting ready to the reception, we met up with Nicole and Brian in the early afternoon to capture all the action.
Getting ready photos at Bay Preserve at Osprey
We began the afternoon capturing candid shots as Nicole had the final touches applied to her makeup, with the help of a friend who’d flown in for the occasion. We grabbed a creative silhouette as she was having her makeup applied, then gave her privacy to get changed into her dress while we photographed Brian getting ready.
After a candid black and white shot of Brian putting on his suit and adjusting his tie in a suite mirror at Bay Preserve at Osprey, we used the time available for some portraits of the groom in the gardens outside.
Meanwhile, Nicole had changed into her stunning gown by Maggie Sottero and we got creative looking through a doorway as her bridesmaids fluffed the dress. We then captured a shot in the elegant hallway as her mom helped to secure her Badgley Mischka wedding shoes.
With some time available before the wedding ceremony was due to start, we took advantage of the gorgeous light to capture some portraits of the bride and grabbed a shot as she video chatted with her maid-of-honor who was missing the wedding because of her pregnancy. We also took some shots of Nicole with her beautiful bridesmaids outside the entrance to Bay Preserve at Osprey, then used its red-brick architecture for the backdrop during a few bride portraits.

Nicole’s father escorted her along the garden pathway that led to Bay Preserve at Osprey’s beautiful wedding ceremony venue. We documented Brian’s reaction as he watched his bride walk towards him, then captured all the rites and rituals of their intimate wedding ceremony from multiple angles. The official proceedings ended with the newlyweds’ recessional walk down the aisle, with the couple stopping part way for a kiss.

It was then time for bridal party portraits outside the stately mansion of Bay Preserve at Osprey and we captured both classic and more playful shots. We then moved onto romantics of just the bride and groom as they embraced and looked lovingly into one another’s eyes in the gardens of this stunning Osprey wedding venue.

Nicole and Brian kicked off their reception proceedings with a grand entrance down the stairs of the mansion, then launched straight into their first dance. The waterfront reception setting had been beautifully designed by Christina Harris from Swanky Soiree Events who always do such an incredible job.
While Nicole and Brian’s wedding guests were having dinner, we snuck out for some sunset portraits on the dock that overlooked Little Sarasota Bay. You could tell how loved up the couple were as they embraced and looked affectionately at one another before returning to party with their guests.
We ended the evening capturing some details shots of Nicole and Brian’s gorgeous wedding rings and their gold-rimmed cake, as well as a candid moment of them enjoying the festivities with those closest to them.
