Country Ranch Wedding – Bradenton, FL – Lindsay + Nathan

Wedding Location: Private 10 Acre Residence

Introduction:

Lindsay and Nathan had originally planned a big wedding at the brides family ranch in Bradenton. But with the COVID-19 pandemic repeatedly pushing their wedding date into the future, they settled on a smaller celebration in June with just their closest family and friends.

The 10-acre property was absolutely stunning (and is exactly the kind of place wed like to have!), with the rustic horse stables being converted into the wedding venue for the day. While Tara was with Nathan at a nearby Airbnb as he made his final preparations, Vince stayed at the family home with Lindsay to capture her final getting ready moments.

Getting ready photos on a 10 acre ranch

After documenting Lindsays gorgeous gown hanging in front of a reflective mirror in the family home, Vince captured a few candid shots as the bride’s mom helped to secure her wedding gown. Although the couple had decided against a formal bridal party, Nathans sisters were on hand to assist Lindsay as she put the finishing touches to her attire.

We captured some special moments between the bride and her mom in the lead up to the country-style wedding before a classic portrait session with Lindsay holding a white rose bouquet. After some shots of her looking out the shuttered windows of the family home, we stepped out into the heat for a few photos in the landscaped grounds.

Meanwhile, Tara photographed Nathans dad as he helped to straighten the grooms suit jacket, then captured a few sophisticated portraits against the neutral backdrop. Nathan and his entourage then made their way over to Lindsays family estate where the bride was ready to walk down the aisle on the arm of her dad.

Wedding ceremony photos at a private residence

Lindsay and Nathans Christian wedding was being held in the propertys horse stables, which had been beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and floral features. We documented Nathans reaction as he watched his bride walk towards him, as well as capturing a candid shot of the bride trying to hide her smile as she approached.

Nathans father was leading the proceedings and guided the couple and their wedding guests through a prayer. This was followed by the exchange of vows, which we captured while looking through one of the horse stalls of the stable. After lighting a candle together and kneeling one final time in prayer, the couple made their recessional walk down the aisle and embraced in celebration.

Post-Ceremony portraits at a private residence

There were so many gorgeous locations around the property for romantic portraits, including a rustic fence where we photographed the couple embracing and looking lovingly into one anothers eyes. We got creative with some black and whites, as well as utilizing a swing that Lindsays dad had made especially for the occasion.

After a low-angle shot of the couple kissing on the propertys driveway, we grabbed a couple of whimsical photos as they were illuminated by the sunshine and as Lindsay led her beau across the grassy lawns.

Reception photos at a private residence

Lindsay and Nathans reception was also being held in the stables and kicked off with speeches and toasts from those closest to them. We grabbed a candid shot as the couple was embraced by the grooms dad and another as Lindsay pulled Nathan in by his braces to kiss him.

After performing the cake cutting ceremony, we snuck out with the couple for another short portrait session as the light slowly faded. Aside from some off-camera flash shots beside the sparkling lake, we also got creative in the low-lit surrounds of their horse stable wedding ceremony venue. The night ended with the couples grand exit, stepping through an archmade by their wedding guests as they held sparklers into the air.

Conclusion

Lindsay and Nathans special day in Bradenton was one of our first weddings post-COVID and it was such a pleasure to shoot at their stunning family property. We hope that these photos from their ranch-style wedding bring back many joyous memories of family and faith that they hold so dear.
