Last weekend was the start to our Fall wedding season and we were happy to kick it off with this couple, Edgar and Isabella! They are such wonderful people, as a matter of fact, their whole family is! We started at the bride’s parents house to get some details and to get the beautiful bride slipping on her dress. There were definitely some emotional moments as the bride’s father embraced his daughter. It is so amazing to watch these events take place… it seems like time freezes for a minute just so that they can take in every bit of it.
It was then off to get the bride and groom on their way to married life. When got to the church, St. John Neumann Catholic Church (which is one of the nicest churches in Yuma, Arizona), we immediately started shooting pictures of the groom. We only had a few minutes with him before the wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony kicked off and at first we had no clue what was going on… Everything was in Spanish haha! But we have been to 1 or 2 weddings before, haha, so we easily picked up on what was going on. It was then “The First Kiss” and then the walk down the aisle as husband and wife! It was beautiful!
We swept through family photos pretty easily with the help of a couple interpreters and then we kicked it into overdrive. Groomsmen pics and bridesmaids pics went smoothly and the next thing on the list was caffeine – Starbucks was the next stop. Normally in franchises as big as Starbucks then don’t let us shoot pictures inside, however, not only did they let us shoot but they paid for the bride and groom’s drinks- very generous! We did the romantics with the couple right as the sun was about to kiss the horizon and then headed back to St. John Neumann Catholic Church for the reception. The reception was just crazy! Lots of family and friends, lots of dancing and believe it or not, the first time we have seen, the groom getting tossed in the air by his buddies. What a great way to end the night! Congratulations Edgar and Isabella!
