Introduction:
We first met Dina and Leo in-person during their e-session a little while ago and were looking forward to reconnecting during their intimate wedding at the Kapok Special Events Center. It was our first time shooting at this eclectic Clearwater venue and we absolutely loved the space, with great portrait locations and an incredible wedding planner – Jasmen Marley.
Dina and Leo are from Spring Hill and have an adorable daughter, Isabelle, who was their flower girl for the wedding. It was a day filled with lots of love and celebration with those closest to the couple, backed by a stunning backdrop!
Getting ready photos at Kapok Special Events Center
We began the day capturing photos of Dina’s gorgeous wedding dress by Enzoani – Leea hanging in the ballroom of the Kapok Special Events Center, as well as a shot as Isabelle peeked through the curtains. After a few photos of Leo making his final preparations with his two groomsmen, we captured some portraits of the guys standing beneath the venue’s immense chandeliers. We then stepped outside for some portraits of the groom leaning up against a white column in the Kapok Special Events Center’s gardens, then documented his reaction as he opened a watch gifted from his bride.
Meanwhile, Dina was getting ready with her two bridesmaids and we captured some reflective shots as she secured her earrings in a mirror and admired her wedding dress. After stepping into her gown, we photographed her bridesmaids adjusting the train and grabbed a portrait of the beautiful bride on the Kapok Special Events Center’s grand staircase. We then grabbed a candid shot as Dina read a notecard from her groom and another as she shared in a special moment with her mom. Right before the wedding ceremony was due to start, we also photographed a sweet moment as Isabelle pressed her hands against a window.

Ceremony photos at Kapok Special Events Center
Dina and Leo’s wedding ceremony was being held in a beautifully decorated private club at the Kapok Special Events Center, with the bride being escorted down the aisle on the arm of her dad. We documented Leo’s reactions as he watched Dina walk towards them, then captured candid shots throughout the ceremony as they exchanged rings and vows. After being pronounced “husband and wife”, the couple sealed their marriage with a kiss, then made their recessional walk down the aisle to be congratulated by Isabelle.

Post-Ceremony photos at Kapok Special Events Center
We began Dina and Leo’s wedding portrait session with some romantic shots within their ceremony venue, then headed outside to the European-styled courtyard framed by white columns. Aside from romantic portraits of the bride and groom in this loved-up moment, we also grabbed a shot as they kissed Isabelle’s cheeks and another as the flower girl looked back towards her parents walking behind.
Dina and Leo also wanted to get creative with some dramatically-lit shots in the gardens, utilizing our off-camera flash. We illuminated the couple embracing beneath the garden gazebo, then captured some sophisticated shots on the grand staircase within the Kapok Special Events Center.

Reception photos at Kapok Special Events Center
The couple’s intimate wedding reception was being held in the Kapok Special Events Center’s stunning ballroom, with their family and friends celebrating in style. Aside from documenting the cake-cutting of their Artistic Whisk creation, we also captured all the dance floor action in both color and black and white. We ended the night with a shot of Leo and his male entourage on the grand staircase, topping off what had been a really incredible, stress-free day.
