Wedding at Longboat Key Resort Harbourside
Wedding and Reception Location: Longboat Key, FL
Introduction:
We first got to know Tatyana and Ethan during their beachfront e-session at Longboat Key. Not only did we hear more about their upcoming wedding plans with the talented coordinating team at Swanky Soirée but we bonded with the couple over a mutual love of fishing.
While they were also holding their contemporary wedding in Longboat Key, they wanted to do something slightly different from the beach engagement session to create a more classic feel. Tatyana had a few shots that she really wanted us to capture during her special day at Longboat Key Harbourside, which I think we managed to do while giving them our own twist.
Getting ready photos at Aloft Sarasota and the Longboat Key Club Resort
The bride and groom were getting ready in separate hotels and we began the day capturing candid shots and portraits as they made their final preparations. Ethan and his groomsmen were at the highly-unique Aloft Sarasota, which features a striking bar, pool table and its very own waterfall.
We captured photos as he secured a Rolex gifted from his granddad and a shot as he fixed his dad’s boutonniere, as well as a few portraits in the contemporary suite. We then headed up to the rooftop to capture some portraits of Ethan with his groomsmen, backed by the high-rise of Sarasota, followed by a more casual shot in the hotel’s courtyard.
Meanwhile, Tatyana was getting ready with her bridesmaids in a suite at the Longboat Key Club Resort and we captured some playful shots of them having a pillow fight and hanging out in their robes. Tatyana’s gorgeous bridal gown was created by the talented Madeline Gardner for Mori Lee and we photographed Tatyana’s bridesmaids helping to secure the laced back.
We then grabbed some shots of the beautiful bride looking absolutely radiant before an emotional moment as she read a letter written by her husband-to-be. With some time available before the wedding ceremony was due to start, we also grabbed some portraits of Tatyana and her bridesmaids in their blue and purple dresses on a leafy porch of the Longboat Key Club Resort.
They then jumped in their vintage trolley for the short journey to the Longboat Key Harbourside where the ceremony and reception were to be held. Tatyana had specifically requested a photo of her and her bridesmaids looking out the windows of the trolley and we also captured a fun, candid moment with her adorable flower girl.

Ceremony photos at Longboat Key Harborside
Ethan was escorted down the aisle by his dog Ollie, followed by Tatyana on the arm of her dad. The couple were getting married on the lush, green lawns at Longboat Key Harbourside framed by towering palms and we captured both of their reactions as they exchanged vows.
After making their recessional walk down the aisle, we snuck into the ballroom reception venue at Longboat Key Harbourside to capture some romantic portraits of the newly weds in the low-lit surrounds. We photographed Tatyana and Ethan at their sweetheart table and dancing in the middle of the ballroom floor, then returned outside for bridal party portraits in the picturesque gardens.
Tatyana and Ethan then jumped into a golf cart to explore the Longboat Key Harbourside golf course, with the golden sunset light absolutely perfect. We captured close-up embraces and shots of the couple walking hand-in-hand across the fairway, before heading back indoors to an elegant lounge area for some atmospheric portraits illuminated by the ornate lamps.

Reception photos at Moorning Harborside Longboat Key Club
It was then time for the ballroom reception to get underway, with Tatyana and Ethan kicking things off with their first dance. After capturing the big dip in black and white, we documented the father-daughter dance and the playful cake cutting ceremony. The night finished with young and old enjoying the dance floor, ending what had been an unforgettable wedding day at Longboat Key Harbourside.
