Introduction:
Hailing from California, Monika and Logan were planning their special day at one of our favorite Sarasota wedding venues, the Powel Crosley Estate, which boasts a gorgeous setting overlooking Sarasota Bay. They had booked both our photography and videography services, as well as our White Tie Photo Booths for playful portraits with their guests.
We first met the couple during their engagement session on Siesta Key a while back but they were forced to postpone their original wedding date due to Covid. Monika has Polish heritage, and so does Vince, so there was an immediate connection between us. We particularly loved that their DJ, Kamil Bartoszcze, incorporated some Polish tunes into the mix for a reception dance floor like no other.
Getting ready photos at Powel Crosley Estate:
We began the day capturing candid shots of Monika and Logan as they prepared in separate suites of the Powel Crosley Estate, accompanied by their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Aside from shots of the bride admiring her beautiful gown designed by Stella York, we also grabbed some photos as her maid-of-honor helped to secure the back of her dress and her necklace.
With the groom almost ready to go, we captured a creative shot of him and his groomsmen taking a selfie, followed by some classic shots of Logan adjusting his cuff links. In keeping with the relaxed vibe of the wedding, the guys had opted for dark navy suits with open-necked shirts and boutonnieres from the team at Lemon Drops Weddings and Events.
Back with the girls, we photographed Monika standing between the French doors that overlook the Powel Crosley Estate wedding ceremony site while holding her beautiful bouquet. We then documented her reaction as she read a note from her soon-to-be-husband before heading outside for a short garden portrait session with her bridesmaids, backed by the mansion’s cream pergola.

Monika and Logan were holding their first look session in the gorgeous gardens of this Sarasota mansion wedding venue, with the bride walking up to surprise her groom. We captured their reactions to seeing one another for the first time on their wedding day, then used the time available to grab some romantics of them in this loved-up moment. Before the ceremony was due to start, we also took a bird’s eye shot of the bride walking down the estate’s wooden staircase, ready to say “I do”.

Monika and Logan’s garden wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate began with a performance by a harpist as the bride made her way down the aisle. Overlooking the sparkling waters of Sarasota Bay, the couple exchanged vows beneath a wooden bridal arch before sealing their marriage with a kiss. We photographed their joyful celebrations and recessional walk down the aisle, then grabbed a playful portrait as they kissed while their bridal party pointed towards them.
This was followed by another portrait session on the grounds of the Powel Crosley Estate, taking advantage of the tropical plantings and banyan trees that line its walking trails. We captured timeless portraits of the couple embracing and kissing beneath Monika’s veil, as well as getting creative with some shots looking through the greenery.

Reception photos at Powel Crosley Estate:
Monika and Logan kicked off their outdoor reception at the Powel Crosley Estate with their first dance, which we documented from the balcony above. Speeches and toasts from those closest to them followed, with a particularly emotional speech from the groom’s parents, with who the couple lived for three years.
As the sun sank towards the horizon, we headed down to the waterfront for some romantic couple portraits, with Logan twirling his bride as the sky erupted a bright orange color behind them. We also took advantage of our off-camera flash as dusk set in, photographing the newlyweds kissing on the mansion’s balcony and embracing in the iconic Ship Room.
Back on the dance floor, the wedding guests were ready to party, with the bride showing off some Polish-inspired moves. We finished the night documenting all the action and color of their reception celebration as they partied beneath the stars.

We always love shooting at the Powel Crosley Estate, with such a stunning waterfront location and perfect sunsets overlooking Sarasota Bay.
