Introduction:
Amanda and Ryan booked us earlier this year to capture their rustic wedding at the Rialto Theatre in Tampa, although they originally had plans to get married at a venue that went out of business (and took their money!) They both are based out in Idaho but were planning their special day with family and friends in Downtown Tampa.
Getting ready photos at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Tampa:
The day all began at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Tampa where Amanda and Ryan were getting ready in separate suites. We captured some black and white candids as Ryan made is final preparations accompanied by his groomsmen, then headed out into the streets for some classic portraits of the boys.
Meanwhile, Amanda was having her hair and makeup done by the talented team at Destiny and Light and we captured up-close shots and creative candids as she was getting ready. We grabbed a details shot of her gorgeous shoes and perfume, as well as some portraits of her hanging out with her bridesmaids in their pink shirts.

Pre-ceremony portraits in Downtown Tampa:
Once Amanda was dressed and ready to go, we captured some portraits of her looking stunning in her Holiday Inn suite. The red roses in her bouquet from Northside Florist matched perfectly with the bright red curtains in the suite, which really popped against the white of Amanda’s dress.
Amanda and her bridesmaids then headed outside into the streets of Downtown Tampa for some portraits along the sidewalk. It was quite a busy day and there were lots of people around, keen to get a glimpse of the beautiful bride.
Amanda and Ryan had decided on a first look session, which we staged in front of a fountain in Downtown Tampa. We photographed Ryan walking up behind Amanda and embracing her, then a black and white as he checked her out.
We used the time available for some romantic portraits of the couple in this loved-up moment, utilizing the lush greenery of this urban oasis. We captured intimate embraces and a playful bridal party portrait, as well as a shot of Ryan dipping Amanda on a pedestrian crossing while the traffic waited.

Ceremony photos at the Rialto Theatre:
It was then time for the ceremony to take place, which was being held at the historic Rialto Theatre in Downtown Tampa. It has a really rustic vibe, with exposed brick walls and an on-site art gallery that gives it a lot of character.
We captured wide-angle shots looking across the Rialto Theatre and up-close candids as Amanda and Ryan exchanged vows and bowed their heads in prayer together. Then we photographed the big kiss after the couple were pronounced “husband and wife” and their joyous recessional walk.

After the wedding ceremony, we went into the alleyway beside the Rialto Theatre for bridal party portraits and family formals, capturing some unique combinations of Amanda with the groomsmen and Ryan with the bridesmaids. As the light slowly faded, we also grabbed some dramatic couple portraits using off-camera flash and an intimate shot of Ryan embracing Amanda against the rustic brick walls.

Reception photos at the Rialto Theatre:
Amanda and Ryan’s reception at the Rialto Theatre kicked off with their first dance, followed by speeches and toasts as they watched on from their sweetheart table designed by the team at Oh So Classy Events. Then everyone hit the dance floor to celebrate, with the DJ doing a great job of interacting with the crowd and creating a party vibe.
We captured both the bride and groom enjoying the dance floor with their family and friends, as well as Ryan’s little dance for Amanda before going in for the garter removal. After capturing a details shot of their wedding rings in the atmospheric light, we grabbed one final nighttime portrait of the couple outside the Rialto Theatre before Ryan’s song came on and he rushed back inside to dance!

Conclusion:
We really had a blast working with Amanda and Ryan to capture this wedding at the Rialto Theatre in Tampa and can’t thank them enough for selecting Fallbrook Photography as their Florida wedding photographer. We wish them all the best in their married life as they return to Idaho as “husband and wife”.
