Shoogie Boogies Wedding – Kylee & Matt

Introduction:
Kylee and Matthew were planning an intimate wedding at Shoogie Boogies, a charming garden cafe and event venue in Downtown Sarasota. It was a really relaxed occasion, with just 25 of their closest family and friends joining them to celebrate their new union.
We were blessed with clear skies and beautiful, sunny conditions for their special day, with it cooling off quite a bit following the sunset. Kylee and Matthew’s vow exchange and wedding ceremony was live streamed, ensuring those who couldn’t make it could still be part of the experience.
Pre-ceremony Portraits at Shoogie Boogies
Kylee and Matthew had just booked us for a few hours to capture portraits before their ceremony, the vow exchange and a few nighttime shots during their reception. We began the day capturing relaxed shots of Matthew outside the entrance to Shoogie Boogies as he adjusted his tie, waiting for Kylee to arrive.
The beautiful bride pulled up in a classic car accompanied by her mom and was greeted by her groom. We captured a few portraits of the couple in this loved-up moment as they saw one another for the first time on their wedding day, utilizing a rustic fence along the residential street just down from Shoogie Boogies.
Aside from shots of the couple embracing and enjoying their time together, we also captured some portraits of Kylee looking radiant in her dress by David’s Bridal. We grabbed some whimsical photos of her beside the fence with bougainvillea adding a “pop” of color behind, as well as a few photos with her bouquet as she prepared to walk down the aisle.

Ceremony photos at Shoogie Boogies:
Classic white umbrellas were set up along the length of Shoogie Boogies garden courtyard to provide shade for guests as they watched Kylee and Matthew exchange vows. We captured candid shots as they exchanged rings and an emotional moment as Kylee wiped away tears, as well as documenting the tablet that was live streaming their ceremony.
The couple then made their joyous recessional walk back down the aisle for a champagne toast, showing off their wedding rings in a creative portrait as they kissed behind.

Kylee and Matthew’s wedding reception at Shoogie Boogies was a really relaxed affair, with the couple feeding one another finger food as their guests mingled. We snuck out for a nighttime portrait session in and around this Sarasota garden wedding venue, utilizing an oval mirror for a creative, reflective shot. We also incorporated their classic car that was parked outside, grabbing a silhouette shot of the couple inside and a black and white as Matthew lifted Kylee alongside.
