Engagement Session
Introduction:
Monika and Logan actually hail from California but were in Florida for a “workcation” when they booked us to capture their e-session at beautiful Siesta Key Beach. They’re planning a wedding at the gorgeous Powel Crosley Estate in May of next year, so their engagement session was a great opportunity to get to know the couple a little better while capturing their love.
Siesta Key Beach Engagement Photos:
Siesta Key Beach Access 8 is a personal favorite of ours and where we like to bring our family for a day at the beach. Siesta Key Beach has got to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and definitely has some of the whitest sand! Not only does it offer plenty of parking and easy beach access along a short trail, but there’s also a picturesque meadow adjacent to the beach and a few sailboats to incorporate into shots.
We began this Siesta Key Beach engagement session with some close-up portraits of the couple embracing while Monika showed off her stunning engagement ring. They went for a casual, weekend look, with the bride-to-be in a flowery yellow dress and the future groom wearing a short-sleeved navy shirt and shorts.

After grabbing a shot of Monika leading Logan along the trail leading down to Siesta Key Beach, we stopped them partway for some off-camera flash portraits framed by the surrounding vegetation. We also utilized one of the sailboats on the beach as the couple embraced before heading to the adjacent meadow as the afternoon light turned golden. Here we captured portraits of the couple walking hand-in-hand through the long grasses and grabbed a black and white shot as Logan spun his fiancee.
While the skies were threatening to rain, it turned out to be an incredible sunset, with a myriad of colors backing the couple as they embraced on the beach with their feet sunk into the sand. We ended this Siesta Key Beach engagement session with the couple making a champagne toast and a silhouette portrait as Logan spun Monika, then grabbed a romantic shot from afar as they watched the sunset together.
It was such a pleasure to meet and get to know Monika and Logan during their Siesta Key Beach engagement session, as well as be treated to such a memorable sunset. We wish them all the best as they plan their wedding next year and look forward to reconnecting with them then.
