Wedding at Feather Sound Country Club – Erica and Brian
Wedding and Reception Location: Clearwater, FL
Introduction:
Although Erica and Brian currently live out in Indiana, the bride is originally from Belleair, which is why they were planning their wedding in Florida. After getting ready at the beautiful Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, they were having an intimate wedding ceremony at St. Raphael Catholic Church in St. Petersburg before returning to the country club for their reception. Many of their family and friends were traveling from interstate for this destination wedding in Florida, including their extended family of Cross Fit friends from across the United States.
We were excited to meet Brian and Erica because prior we only had a Skype meeting with them. We were also excited to capture some portraits of the beautiful couple for the upcoming issue of the Belleair, FL magazine.
Getting ready photos at Feather Sound Country Club:
We began the day capturing candid shots of the couple getting ready in separate suites, with Erica having her hair and makeup done by the talented team at Femme Akoi Beauty Studio. We grabbed shots of her adjusting her earrings and relaxing on the balcony with a 2Birds Events bouquet, with the bride wearing a stunning dress by Eddie K.
Meanwhile, Brian was getting ready with his seven groomsmen and we captured some close-up shots as he adjusted his cufflinks and admired a watch gifted from his bride. It was then time for the first look between the couple, which was especially emotional for Brian, with Erica commenting that it was the first time she’d ever seen him cry!

Ceremony photos at St. Raphael Catholic Church:
We then made the drive over to St. Petersburg and the St. Raphael Catholic Church where Erica’s father escorted her down the aisle. We did our best to work with the low light inside the church to capture candid exchanges between the couple and a wide-angle shot encapsulating the modern architecture and stained glass windows.
After being pronounced “husband and wife”by Deacon Jim Grevenites and making their recessional walk down the aisle, we used the time available for some portraits of the newlyweds outside the St. Raphael Catholic Church. We captured an up-close shot as they embraced while Erica showed off her wedding ring, as well as a creative portrait utilizing an off-camera flash.

Erica and Brian had scheduled in a few hours between their ceremony and reception, which gave us plenty of time to capture bridal party portraits and family formals back at Feather Sound Country Club. We grabbed playful shots of the bridal party jumping on the golf course, as well as mixing things up with some portraits of Erica and the groomsmen, followed by Brian and the bridesmaids. After documenting a special moment between Erica and her cute flower girl, we captured classic portraits of the newlyweds embracing and some intimate black and whites as they kissed.

Erica and Brian’s reception was being held in the elegant ballroom at Feather Sound Country Club and we documented the welcome table designed by wedding planner Francine Burruezo that featured photos of the couple throughout their lives. After a romantic first dance and a cake cutting ceremony with their Publix creation, everyone hit the dance floor to celebrate to the sounds of DJ Grant Hemond.
