Wedding at The Vault Tampa
Wedding and Reception Location: Tampa, FL
Introduction:
Although we haven’t spoken for many years, Barbara and I actually went to high school together and we were honored that she and her fiancee, Donald, considered Fallbrook Photography to capture their wedding at The Vault. They were planning a laid-back celebration at this modern Tampa wedding venue, with the couple getting ready in separate suites at the beaux arts-style Floridan Palace Hotel.
Getting ready photos at Floridan Palace Hotel:
We began the day capturing candid shots of Don and his groomsmen enjoying some bourbon together, as well as some creative black and white and silhouette shots of the groom on his own. Meanwhile, the girls were in a separate suite at The Floridan Palace Hotel where we grabbed some photos of them relaxing in their floral robes and making their final preparations together.
Barbara’s mom arrived for a special moment with her daughter looking absolutely stunning in her Sweetheart Gowns wedding dress before we had time for some portraits of the bride on her own. We captured a silhouette in front of her suite window and a dramatically-lit shot on a chaise lounge before moving to the balcony area to incorporate its gorgeous sculpted ceiling in some portraits with her bridesmaids.

Ceremony photos at The Vault:
It was then time for the couple’s ceremony to get underway at The Vault, with this contemporary wedding venue in Tampa featuring strong architectural lines and soaring windows. We captured some wide-angle shots looking down the aisle as Barbara and Don exchanged vows, as well as getting up high for some bird’s eye view images from the upper level.

Post-ceremony portraits at The Vault:
After making their recessional walk as “husband and wife”, we captured some casual shots of the newlyweds walking outside The Vault with their bridal party before moving into romantics. These included intimate embraces as the lights of the venue twinkled behind, as well as some off-camera flash shots near the bar area as dusk set in. Barbara and Don had worn matching purple wedding shoes, so we also grabbed a portrait showcasing these unique details.

Reception photos at The Vault:
Barbara and Don’s wedding reception at The Vault was being held in the same space as their ceremony, with the staff transforming it with round tables and soft blue lighting. The couple kicked proceedings off with their first dance, which we captured from below and above, before their cake-cutting ceremony featuring an impressive Publix creation.
Barbara then took to the dance floor with her girlfriends to dance to some of their favorite songs (skillfully crafted by DJ Joshua Pockrus from Delite Entertainment) and we documented their synchronized moves both up-close and from afar. We also grabbed a portrait of the bride with her roller derby friends on the dance floor and a fun photo of the officiant singing karaoke, then ended the night with some final romantics of the bride and groom.

Conclusion
It was great to reconnect with Barbara (and meet her now-husband Don) during their modern wedding at The Vault and we can’t thank them enough for selecting Fallbrook Photography to capture their special day.
