Introduction:
Koleen and Eric had planned an intimate wedding at The Founders Golf Club, a prestigious golf facility where the groom is a member. It’s surrounded by multi-million-dollar residences to the east of Sarasota, with a charming clubhouse where the couple’s reception was to be held. With just 45 guests, it was a really relaxed, easy-going day that we felt privileged to be a part of.
Getting ready photos on a Embassy Suites of Sarasota
After documenting Lindsay’s gorgeous gown hanging in front of a reflective mirror in the family home, Vince captured a few candid shots as the bride’s mom helped to secure her wedding gown. Although the couple had decided against a formal bridal party, Nathan’s sisters were on hand to assist Lindsay as she put the finishing touches to her attire.
We captured some special moments between the bride and her mom in the lead up to the country-style wedding before a classic portrait session with Lindsay holding a white rose bouquet. After some shots of her looking out the shuttered windows of the family home, we stepped out into the heat for a few photos in the landscaped grounds.
Meanwhile, Tara photographed Nathan’s dad as he helped to straighten the groom’s suit jacket, then captured a few sophisticated portraits against the neutral backdrop. Nathan and his entourage then made their way over to Lindsay’s family estate where the bride was ready to walk down the aisle on the arm of her dad.

Pre-Ceremony portraits at The Founders Golf Club
Koleen and Eric had decided to do a first look session in the gardens of The Founders Golf Club, with the groom walking up to surprise his bride who was holding a white bouquet from Stage Door Floral. We documented their reactions at seeing one another for the first time on their wedding day, then captured some romantic portraits of them in this special moment.
The bride had requested some whimsical shots incorporating the club’s Spanish moss-draped trees, as well as a few portraits beside their Cadillac. We photographed the couple walking hand-in-hand behind this cream classic, then grabbed a shot as they kissed while seated together in the front.

Wedding ceremony photos at The Founders Golf Club
Koleen and Eric’s wedding ceremony began with an adorable ring bearer walking down the aisle holding a wooden sign with “Love at first sight” written on it. The beautiful bride followed close behind and we captured Eric’s reaction as he watched her walk towards him.
The intimate Christian wedding ceremony at The Founders Golf Club was officiated by Eric’s dad, Robert Hoonhout, and was held in the estate’s gorgeous gardens. After exchanging rings, the couple sealed their marriage with a kiss and made a joyous recessional walk down the aisle.

Reception photos at The Founders Golf Club:
Koleen and Eric’s wedding reception was being held in the charming clubhouse of The Founders Golf Club, which was beautifully decorated with string lights. We documented the couple’s first dance and their “thank you” toast, as well as the moment they fed one another wedding cake from the Tampa Bay Cake Company.
It was then time for open dancing on the alfresco dance floor, with both young and old enjoying the tunes from DJ David Turner. Koleen and Eric staged their bouquet and garter tosses, with the respective items not thrown but handed to close friends of the couple who they were hoping would wed soon!
