Historic Spanish Point – Osprey, FL – Amber & Christian

Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Historic Spanish Point

Introduction:

We first met Amber and Christian when we turned up to shoot their wedding at the gorgeous Historic Spanish Point. We love shooting at Osprey wedding venue, which forms part of the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and offers so many stunning locations for couple portraits.

Christian works with his dad at a construction company and Amber has just completed college, with both ready to start their married life together. They were celebrating with around 100 of their closest family and friends during a day that delivered perfect weather for an outdoor wedding.

Originally, the couple had just booked one of our White Tie Photobooths but we were honored that they decided to go with Fallbrook Photography for their wedding portraits as well. The day all began at Historic Spanish Points White House where the bride and groom were getting ready in separate suites.

Getting ready photos at Historic Spanish Point:

After introducing ourselves to the couple, we got to work documenting Ambers beautiful wedding dress by Beloved hanging in the gardens. We returned to her suite as she prepared to get ready, surrounded by three of her closest girlfriends. In addition to candid black and white shots and reflective portraits as she secured her earrings, we also captured a shot of the bride looking out the window to showcase the back of her whimsical train.

Once Amber was dressed and ready to go, we headed into the gardens to continue the portrait session and utilized the bougainvillea-adorned columns of the central pergola. She was joined by her bridesmaids in their soft pink dresses and we captured both classic shots and more playful portraits of the girls, including one as they held their bouquets towards the camera.

Meanwhile, Christian was getting ready with his groomsmen and we grabbed some shots as he straightened his suit in front of a mirror. It was an emotional moment as he was joined by his mom who secured his boutonniere on the patio of Historic Spanish Points White House. It was then the guysturn for some garden portraits, with their beige-colored suits working perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere.

Pre-ceremony portraits at Historic Spanish Point:

Amber had decided to surprise Christian with a first look session by walking up behind the groom and covering his eyes. The couple was full of smiles as they got their first glimpse of one another on their wedding day, with Amber wiping away Christians tears when he got a little emotional.

We used the time available for a portrait session around Historic Spanish Point, taking advantage of the leafy walking trails and lush backdrops. We captured up-close shots of the couple embracing and wide-angle portraits framed by the gardens palm trees.

Wedding ceremony photos at Historic Spanish Point:

Amber and Christians wedding ceremony was being held beneath the white pergola of Historic Spanish Point, with the brides father escorting her down the aisle. Throughout the garden wedding ceremony, we documented the ring exchange and the first kiss before the couple celebrated as they made their recessional walk down the aisle as husband and wife”.

Post-ceremony portraits at Historic Spanish Point:

The post-ceremony portrait session began with a shot of Amber being embraced by her son (also the ring-bearer) before they were joined by the entire bridal party. We also had another short portrait session as the newlywed couple relaxed beside a centerpiece reflecting pool. When looking at the shots, I feel that the golden hourlight was absolutely magical as they enjoyed this special moment together.

Reception photos at Historic Spanish Point:

As with their wedding ceremony, Amber and Christians reception was being held outdoors, with long tables set up beneath twinkling string lights. We captured candid shots during the speeches and toasts before sneaking away with the couple for a quick portrait session on the dock. While the sun had already set, the twilight sky was stunning, transforming dramatic pinks and oranges behind them.

When we returned to the reception, it was time for the couples first dance before everyone got up to party. There was plenty of color and movement to document on the dance floor before a short pause in the proceedings for the bouquet toss and garter removal. The night ended with Amber and Christians grand exit while their family and friends blew bubbles around them.

Conclusion

Many thanks again to Amber and Christian for selecting Fallbrook Photography to capture their special day and for trusting us with our White Tie Photobooths. We hope they had an incredible time on their honeymoon and that these images bring back lots of warm memories from their wedding.
