Powel Crosley Wedding – Dan and Jackie
Wedding and Reception Location: Sarasota, Florida
Introduction:
We immediately hit it off with Jackie and Dan, so much so that Dan and I are planning to workout together next week. This easy-going couple were planning an intimate celebration at the Powel Crosley Estate– one of our favorite Sarasota wedding venues to photograph.
Jackie and Dan booked us just a month prior to their wedding, with around six hours of coverage. After documenting the couple getting ready in their separate suites, we captured their beautiful garden wedding ceremony overlooking Sarasota Bay, followed by an intimate reception in the Powel Crosley Estate’s gorgeous dining room.
Getting ready photos at Powel Crosley Estate:
We began the day capturing details photos of Jackie’s wedding shoes on a red sofa and her wedding dress hanging in the window of her bridal suite. After a photo of Jackie admiring her dress, we captured creative black and white shots looking through her suite doorway as her sister helped to secure the lace-up back.
With Jackie dressed and ready to go, we grabbed some portraits of the bride looking radiant as light poured through the bridal suite windows and a shot as her sister secured her shoes. We also grabbed some classic portraits of the beautiful bride standing in front of the suite’s French doors and a reflective portrait in one of the elegant mirrors.
While we were meant to capture some shots of Dan getting ready for his Sarasota wedding, the groom was too busy running around finalizing details. We did manage to grab a few portraits as he waited for his bride to arrive in one of the downstairs suites and looked out across the grounds of the Powel Crosley Estatefrom the balcony.

Ceremony photos at Powel Crosley Estate:
After a few black and white candids of Jackie having her veil secured and the final touches applied to her lipstick by makeup artistAnne Molinare, we documented a champagne toast with her girlfriends. She then made her way down the aisle on the arm of her father and we captured Dan’s reaction as he watched his beautiful bride walk towards him.
Jackie and Dan exchanged vows in the gardens of the Powel Crosley Estate, overlooking the sparkling waters of Sarasota Bay. After a kiss to seal their marriage, we took advantage of the gorgeous golden hour light for romantics of the newlyweds embracing in this loved-up moment.
We captured whimsical shots of them beneath the sprawling trees and black and whites as they kissed, as well as a few sunset portraits as the sky transformed behind them. As dusk set in, we got creative with the use of off-camera flash and captured some portraits of Jackie and Dan in the Powel Crosley Estate’s iconic Ship Room.

Reception photos at Powel Crosley Estate:
Jackie and Dan kicked off their wedding reception at the Powel Crosley Estatewith their first dance, which we captured both up close and looking through the arched doors that led to the elegant reception room. In addition to the couple’s cake cutting ceremony and the reactions of their wedding guests, we also grabbed some up-close details shots of their wedding rings before calling it a night.

It was a real pleasure photographing Jackie and Dan’s wedding at the Powel Crosley Estateand getting to know this fun-loving couple better. We wish them all the happiness in their married life together and look forward to reconnecting again soon.
