Introduction:
We first connected with Amber and Anthony last year when we captured their romantic engagement session at the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club in Lido Key. It was the bride’s mom who initially found us and inquired about being their Sarasota wedding photographer and we were honored that they accepted also.
They were planning their special day at another Ritz-Carlton hotel, this time in Downtown Sarasota where they were going to say “I do” in the waterfront courtyard. There were a few clouds here and there but it was otherwise a perfect day as we gathered at this sophisticated venue to capture their getting ready moments.
Getting ready photos at the Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Sarasota
Amber, her bridesmaids, and the two moms were getting ready between their suite at the Ritz-Carlton and the Spa where the hotel’s in-house beauty team worked their magic. We captured candid photos of the girls having the finishing touches applied to their makeup and some shots of their wedding dresses hanging in the suite.
Meanwhile, the boys were getting ready in a separate suite, with Anthony having a large entourage in addition to his two groomsmen. Aside from some shots of the guys enjoying a drink together, we also captured some portraits of the groom and his groomsmen walking down a hallway and through the gardens of the Ritz-Carlton.
We then returned to the girls’ suite to capture some creative shots as Amber admired her Vera Wang dress while both moms watched on. After documenting some special moments with her mom and a candid shot as her bridesmaids fitted her garter, we used the time available for some portraits of the bride looking absolutely stunning in her Ritz-Carlton suite.

Pre-ceremony portrait session at the Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Sarasota
With some time available before the wedding ceremony was due to start, we headed downstairs for a garden portrait session with the girls. In addition to classic shots, we also got creative with a dramatically-lit portrait of the girls backed by the Ritz-Carlton, as requested by the bride. We also captured a few shots of the beautiful bride alone in the gardens and beneath the ornate chandeliers hanging in the Ritz-Carlton lobby area.

Wedding ceremony photos at the Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Sarasota
Amber and Anthony were exchanging vows in the waterfront courtyard of the Ritz-Carlton, with their closest family and friends watching on. It was an emotional moment as the groom saw his bride for the first time, with Amber making her grand entrance down a colonnade.
We photographed their ceremony from multiple angles, including up-close candids as Amber wiped away Anthony’s tears and an elevated wide-angle looking on from above. After being pronounced “husband and wife”, we documented the couple’s celebrations and their first kiss.

Amber and Anthony’s wedding ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton was followed by a portrait session in the courtyard gardens, with plenty of warm embraces between the newlyweds. We utilized an ornate fountain and a huge terracotta pot, as well as the dramatic sunset sky for some silhouettes overlooking the waterfront.

As Amber and Anthony celebrated with family and friends during an intimate ballroom-style reception, we documented their candid reactions to toasts and all the dance floor action. We captured a creative shot of their first dance looking through the pillars that framed the room, then snuck out with the couple for a short nighttime portrait session beneath an ornate chandelier.
