Introduction:
Brooke and Devin contacted us at the last minute about capturing their intimate wedding at the Longboat Island Chapel Garden. We were only there for a couple of hours, just enough to document their wedding, family formals and romantic portraits.
It was a gorgeous day for this Bradenton wedding, with the Longboat Island Chapel Garden surrounded by water. The venue’s wedding chapel nestles amidst lush, tropical gardens, making for an idyllic setting to say “I do”.
Wedding ceremony photos at Longboat Island Chapel Garden:
We began the day photographing Brooke as she was escorted down the aisle by her father, then documented Devin’s reaction as he watched his beautiful bride approach. The couple exchanged vows framed by the whitewashed gazebo of the Longboat Island Chapel Garden and in front of the resident pastor.
We captured candid black and white shots as they looked lovingly into one another’s eyes and a wide-angle shot looking across the gorgeous wedding ceremony site. After being pronounced “husband and wife”, they sealed their marriage with a kiss and made their recessional walk along a palm-lined walking trail.

Portraits at Longboat Island Chapel Garden:
Following their intimate wedding ceremony at the Longboat Island Chapel Garden, we spent the rest of our time with Brooke and Devin taking family formals and portraits of the loved-up couple. We photographed the newlyweds embracing in front of their white bridal gazebo and captured some shots of the beautiful bride on her own.
With light streaming through the trees, we grabbed some whimsical portraits of the couple relaxing on a bench together following their Sarasota garden wedding. In addition to black and white romantics, we grabbed an up-close shot of Brooke’s bouquet with a silver cross hanging from it and some tender moments as the bride leaned on her groom’s shoulder.
