Built by entrepreneur Powel Crosley Jr in the late 1920s, this lavish waterfront estate in Sarasota is the perfect venue for luxurious wedding celebrations. Its Mediterranean-Revival style mansion overlooks the azure Gulf of Mexico waters, while its heritage-listed circular tower and carriage house add a distinct touch of elegance from a bygone era.

Powel Crosley Estate was built as a winter retreat for Crosley’s wife Gwendolyn and set over 11,000 square feet on Sarasota Bay. In addition to its 21 rooms and 10 bathrooms, it also originally featured a swimming pool, seaplane dock and yacht basin. Since being placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, it has been transformed into a beautiful event space and a popular location for dream weddings.

The Powel Crosley Estate features all the modern amenities you need to hold stunning wedding ceremonies and receptions, with the capacity to seat 80 for indoor receptions and more than 200 for outdoor events under the stars. Make use of their Great Room, Library, Breakfast Nook, Dining Room and Brides Room across the first floor, together with the Gallery, Balcony, Ship Room and Groom’s Room on the second floor. There is also an expansive Terrace to take in the sunset views and a Bayside Pavilion and Lawns where you can say “I do” under billowing trees. Your guests will have the opportunity to not only take in the majesty of its surrounds, but all the interior and architectural features that made Powel Crosley Estate such an innovative design in its day.

The property is at your disposal from noon to 11pm on the day of your wedding, with the option to book for additional hours in the morning for getting ready and portraits, or until 7am the following day for those who want to party well into the night.

The Powel Crosley Estate offers wedding packages that can include a wedding planner, chairs, sound and catering. Milan Catering is their in-house food and beverage provider, with a reputation for delicious meals and outstanding event organization. A selection of beverage packages are available to suit your needs and menus can be customized to your preferences.
